David Allegood

Co-Founder and Teacher, Inman Park Fellowship

David Allegood was effectually drawn to Christ at age 13, after having 'made a decision' and 'prayed a sinner's prayer' at age 5, resulting in false assurance of salvation for 8 years.  The principle from scripture that God used to effectually call David to Christ was the doctrine of election in John 6:37,44 - whereby he realized that he had never been, up until that time, drawn by the Holy Spirit to Christ.  It was on January 3, 1981, that the Holy Spirit clearly revealed to David his need for a Savior and he was born into the Kingdom of God.

Sometime in 2000, David was challenged by his friend and running partner (Doug Bell) to read Romans 9.  Later, another friend (Mike Hopper) placed into David's hands "Desiring God" by John Piper, and David's roommate at the time (Bryan Capes) introduced him to The John MacArthur Study Bible.  All
these events were used by God to open David's eyes to the Doctrines of Grace and God's sovereignty in all things.

One of the practical ways in which God has strengthened David's faith and encouraged him to practice God's Word is through his volunteering with Me & My House Ministries, a ministry to urban families (www.meandmyhouse.org).  Paul Reynolds, the President of Me & My House, has been used by God to display the abundant life in Christ and what it means to live out Mark 8:34-35 as a disciple of Christ.

David graduated from The University of Florida in 1991 (industrial engineering), and The University of Georgia in 1999 (MBA).  He is a member of The Church of the Apostles (Evangelical Anglican) in Atlanta.  He is employed by SunTrust Banks, Inc, as a compensation consultant.  David's doctrinal beliefs could simply be summed up as Reformed Baptist.

Scott Schultz Prayer Director, Inman Park Fellowship

Scott Cameron Wilson Schultz was born in Toronto, Ontario Canada.  The Lord ordained him to have multiple, physical challenges in his life including: mild cerebral palsy, partial deafness, and blindness in his right eye. Scott graduated from Madonna University in 1993 with a B.A. degree in history (major) and political science (minor).  God effectually drew Scott to Himself by granting him the gift of faith in 1994.

Scott loves to collect and read theology books, amassing a library of almost 300 works. His passion is God-centered prayer based firmly on God’s Word. Scott further desires for the Bible to be rightfully interpreted with regards specifically to: Biblical doctrine, Christian living, and apologetics including biblical history.

Scott’s favorite biblical verse is:

II Corinthians 12: 9-10:

9. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
